Yemen is experiencing one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world. 80% of the population are in need of humanitarian aid, many of which are children. This crisis has been going on since 2015, but because of Covid-19, it has become much worse. There is lack of basic necessities, such as sanitation and clean water. Yemen needs resources and you can help.
During the war in Yemen, many innocent people have been killed. Thousands of people have also died from diseases and lack of resources.
The children of Yemen are one of the most affected groups. Because of the lack of food and the spread of coronavirus, many children are at risk of malnutrition. Millions of children were forced to leave school, even before the pandemic. Children are being killed in conflict and we need to do something about.
Having access to food and clean water should not be something that
people have to fight for. Organizations are providing clean water and
sanitation to people in Yemen. They are trying to help malnourished
children by sending food and medical supplies. They are also sending
Covid-19 tests, respirators, and face shields to help protect and care
for people with coronavirus. Many people are also trying to help from
home by donating and signing petitions to get this cause noticed by the
people in power.
Our names are Eliana and Morgan. We were inspired to make this website because the crisis in Yemen has been so overlooked and we feel that more people need to be aware that this is happening. Everyone should have access to basic necessities such as food and clean water. We want to show people ways they can help and spread the message to whomever we can.
